Faridabad gears up to take more Covid challenges

Amidst the rising cases, Faridabad administration geared up for effective implementation of guidelines from Haryana Government and MHA on Lockdown 4.0.

As on May 18, 2020 till 11:00 AM the status of Covid-19 cases in Faridabad as follows:

  • Total Cases – 147
  • Active Cases – 60
  • Cured/Discharged – 77
  • Asymptomatic (+ve) – 4
  • Deaths – 6

Sunday saw a death and and three new cases in Faridabad. A health worker, 36, from a private hospital, a banker, 32, from Sector 14 and a person, 38, from Bharat Colony in Greater Faridabad found positive to Covid-19.

In the meanwhile, Faridabad DC, in a tweet, said, “Lockdown extended upto 31st May by NDMA and guidelines issued by MHA. Govt. of Haryana is expected to issue directions to the districts in short-while till then status quo would be maintained regarding permissible and non-permissible activities in the district. Wait for a while.

DC also asked for identification of ILI (Influenza-like illness) patients through an intensive survey by ASHA workers, Aganvadi workers and with the help of teachers.

In another tweet, he prohibited the movement of individuals, for all non-essentials activities, between 7 pm to 7 am in the district of Faridabad. Persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidity, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years, shall stay at home, except for meeting essential requirement for health purposes. This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till 31.05.2020 if not revoked earlier.
